Creag Dubh, Newtonmore
Another of our go-to places when we only have a couple of hours to spare. It is always quiet and there is always something to watch for. Today we were lucky enough to sit by some goats with their kids for a while, they were not bothered by us and seemed quite interested in us.

Canoeing & Biking Loch Insh
We had a great day today with 2 youngsters out on Loch Insh canoeing in the morning and biking in the afternoon. It was their first time in a canoe and they paddled tandem until it got too windy, then we rafted and went for a journey around the Loch and a little way up the River Spey. As the wind was in the perfect direction for going back we put the sail up and just relaxed and let the wind do the work. Saw Osprey, Red throated diver amongst others. In the afternoon we did a superb bike circuit on tracks and single track through forest and along the River Feshie. The weather was perfect too.

Dalnashallag Bothy
Another one of our favourite short walks is Strath an Eilich to Dalnashallag Bothy. This is where Glen Banchor ends too. It is always a really quiet place, a great place to chill without any man made noise. There are lots of hills around, mostly pathless and we have never met anyone else when on these hills. On Sunday, we came back over Binnein Mor which has excellent views of the Monadliath, Creag Meagaidh, Geal Charn and over the Grey Corries to Ben Nevis.
