Insh Marshes

Today we did one of our favourite paddles for this time of year. Across Loch Insh then along a channel that cuts through Insh Marshes to Insh village. There are old bridges to negotiate but it is an interesting way of doing a circuit to include part of the river Spey. There is always lots of bird life ie Curlew, Lapwing, Snipe, Sandpipers, Sedge warblers to name but a few, even a group of ponies which followed us for a way. On the way back across the Loch we saw four Red Throated diver too.

Rafted Canoeing & Biking Glenmore

Twice a year we have great fun Rafted Canoeing with families from No Limits. We have known these folk for many years and it is always good to catch up with all that they have been getting up to. Sunday was hit and miss with the weather but much fun was had.
On Monday we were Rafted Canoeing in the morning, then Biking in the afternoon with some of our local kids. The sun was warm, but with a chill in the air so they realised that paddling kept them warm! It was another fun day for us.

Biking Ardverikie Loch Laggan

One of our favourite haunts for biking, low level walking, hillwalking and rock climbing is Arverikie Estate. Today we were biking, the weather was superb, we did not see anyone and it was just lovely to hear nothing but birdsong, we even saw a Golden Eagle! This ride was about 38kms and all on good tracks, but there are lots of variations to be had!
