Another two brilliant days for us with some of our local kids. On Monday we were biking and generally having fun in Glenmore Forest. Then yesterday we climbed the Corbett, Geal Charn Mor. We have a few young ones who are really loving the hillwalking and we are especially pleased that we had a very fit 5 year old join us this time. All the other kids loved having him with us as he was lots of fun and very chatty. They are now asking for bigger things, Cairngorm is on their check list!
Yesterday we had a pleasant journey with local kids from Loch Morlich through Rothiemurchus to Inverdruie. It was fun with lots of stops and chats!
We always look forward to canoeing with Crossreach once a year. The carers alwasy go the extra mile for their service users and this year was no exception. this is the first time that the service users had been out to play since before lockdown and rafted canoeing was the perfect activity for them. As we were a bit concerned about the algae on Loch Morlich we elected for a trip on Loch Insh. The weather was perfect, the trip around the lock and up the river was much enjoyed especially the close encounter with the cows and calves.
