Today we did one of our favourite paddles for this time of year. Across Loch Insh then along a channel that cuts through Insh Marshes to Insh village. There are old bridges to negotiate but it is an interesting way of doing a circuit to include part of the river Spey. There is always lots of bird life ie Curlew, Lapwing, Snipe, Sandpipers, Sedge warblers to name but a few, even a group of ponies which followed us for a way. On the way back across the Loch we saw four Red Throated diver too.
