A bit of a mixed week with days working for Alltnacriche and Loch Morlich Watersports as well as two trips to Ben Nevis. The first was on Thursday evening, setting off at 6.00pm and returning to carpark between 12.00 and 12.30am. Cold, windy and sleety! This was the first of the 3 Peaks for this group, hope the weather improved for them! We were guiding on the Ben again on Saturday for Maximum Adventure, normal time ie 7.30am start. The weather was glorious, cold air, warm sun and almost windless. This group kept together quite well and we were down within six and half hours. Nice people too!!

Weekend
On Saturday, Ian was Canoe Rafting whilst I was Abseiling with guides from Inverness. It rained hard all day but the girls enjoyed it and did not want to stop!
Sunday morning was spent with The Friendship Fund. Ian took them Canoe Rafting and this was the first time any of them had been in a canoe and they loved it! We then did some Archery with them which they always enjoy. Hopefully next year will see them canoeing again!
In the afternoon we were on the indoor wall at Glenmore Lodge with our group of 'Active Kids', this time including a couple of mums. They just did not want to stop and were there for a good 3 hours!

Indoor Wall and Pool
Today we introduced Jenny and Penny to the Indoor wall at Glenmore Lodge in the morning which they really enjoyed and then the Indoor Pool in the afternoon. This was for capsize drills and looking at various rescues involving kayaks. they both excelled at this and did not have any problems with water confidence! A good day especially as it was raining hard for most of it!

Lasswade
Today we were out with geography students from Lasswade. We always look forward to seeing these guys as it is the same staff every year and they also bring keen, interested pupils. This years pupils seemed happier just chatting amongst themselves although the girls wanted to know a bit about where they were. Their glacial work at school is about to start so being out in the coire and seeing features close up will help their understanding.
Bannockburn School
Yesterday we took a group of pupils from Bannockburn School into Coire an T-Sneachda and up onto the plateau and down over point 1141. They were geography students who were already very knowledgeable about glacial features and were keen to see things close up and learn as much as they could. They were also lovely people to be out with. Full of fun and some mischief (Kieran), but also very caring of each other and eager to chat about all sorts of things. We will be happy to see these guys again!!

Weekend of fun
We were with No Limits on Saturday, Ian was Canoe Rafting all day, I ran an abseil in the morning and went out with Tim in our kayaks in the afternoon. Jack had no problems abseiling and was the first to go down, then for the first time ever he climbed up the Scramble net! Andrew abseiled with me the first time and then did it on his own, another first! We have known these folk for many years and it is always quite special when these challenges are met and overcome even though it might mean many attempts before success. Everyone had a great time and we look forward to seeing them again next May.
